The Canon SD1100 IS Digital ELPH includes an 8-Megapixel 1/2.5" CCD imager and a 3x optical zoom lens with image stabilization, which covers a range of 38-114mm equivalent. Comment: My SD450 gave up the ghost after being carried on my hip 24/7 for several years and I replaced it with this one. Very nearly the same camera with more features and for less money. Since most of my work ends up on the computer or on line rather than on paper, I question my sanity for spending thousands on DSLR's. This little guy produces outstanding image quality and is very easy to use and carry. The Amazon transaction was flawless, as usual.
