Since it is digital, DECT 6.0 technology provides long range, clear sound and helps deter eavesdropping as well as offering up to 17 hours of talk time and 7.5 days standby time. Multiple voice paths are used to enable the entire series to provide up to 3-way conferencing, this allows for multiple handsets to be used at the same time and up to 2 handsets can join into a conversation with one outside caller. Tradeoffs- no more interference from other wireless electronics in house/neighborhood, but phone is hard to hold with your shoulder. Also ordered headset which is very uncomfortable. Would not recommend, especially if you have other things to do while talking on the phone - either professionally (can not type at the same time) or domestically (difficult to clean up kitchen, make dinner, fold laundry). Very disappointed-wish I could return (ran out of time).

Comment: This phone system is wonderful! Any of the handsets can go on any of the bases, so there is no worry about finding the right one. The sound is very clear. I wish I had had this phone system a long time ago! It is very handy having phones in the room I don't have phone jacks in. Great product, great price!

Comment: Excellent product. The sound clarity, features (speaker phone, caller id, tune selection, intercom, etc.) is just amazing. However, the battery life is no where never the advertised 17 hours of talking time... it's more like 2 hours.
