Editorial Review:
Wouldn't this make a great gift for a student, or a commuter? The machine brews right into the thermal travel mug and then shuts itself off, so your favorite coffee lover can simply grab and go!
Great for commuters, office professionals, and one-coffee-drinker households, this personal coffeemaker brews 15 ounces of coffee directly into a stainless-steel travel mug. The mug has a rubber handle for a safe grip and a lid to keep coffee hot. It's tapered to a 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom, so it fits most vehicle cup holders. The coffeemaker itself is designed for an on-the-go coffee drinker. It has a permanent filter--no messy disposable paper filters required--and shuts off automatically after brewing. The mug, filter, filter basket, and mug lid are dishwasher-safe, and the coffeemaker can also be used to heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup. Made of gleaming black plastic, it measures 9-3/4 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Summary: Not bad at all!
Comment: I bought this product for my mom, who drinks coffee...but is the only one in our family to do so regularly. Operating it is simple enough; just load the coffee grounds into the (reusable) filter, flip the switch, and voila...coffee brewed and in the mug in about 5 minutes.

There are a couple of drawbacks to this machine though:

1) It doesn't have an "Off" switch. Once you flip the switch down, it will start to boil the water. This usually isn't an issue if you already have the cup sitting there, but when the switch is flipped (but you don't know it) and you plug it in, it starts to boil whatever is inside and you have to wait until the light turns off automatically before you can load your next brew in. This can get a bit annoying if you're constantly plugging/unplugging it to move it around and such.

2) There's no timer. It only turns on when you flip the switch. However, this one can be easily solved if you leave it plugged into a timer-based electrical outlet (that others have probably mentioned as well). I haven't personally done this, but it should work just fine.

Overall, this coffee-maker brews great coffee, and just enough for one person. The mug has a great feel to it, is easy to handle, and seems sturdy enough to withstand a few falls. The coffee inside also seems to stay well insulated for at least an hour or so. For the price I paid (~$20) this was a very good investment! 5/5 stars.

Summary: Suitable for single cup.
Comment: Few weeks since I started using the coffeemaker.
Pros: no waste if you want just a cup of coffee; easy to measure; ideal for quick cup of coffee; affordable (I paid less than $13)
Cons: coffee is not hot, I usually put little ice at my starbucks coffee but still the one that I prepare using coffee maker is not warm for me; The water container is not easily accessible.

Summary: If you like your coffee HOT, this is not for you. But if you don't mind drinking only warm coffee, well this will be a perfect one for a single cup. It doesn't take space on your kitchen, easy to clean too.

Summary: black and decker brew 'n go coffee maker
Comment: I bought this as a gift because I've used the same coffee maker for years. I have one in my summer home, along with the one I have in my year round home. It's great because I do not have to have extra cups of coffee sitting around in a carafe, getting stronger every minute. I am the sole coffee drinker in my home and just brew a cup for each meal. After several years I find it begins leaking from underneath and I must mop up after it after each cup brewed. But it's swift and efficient. I recommend it for anyone who finds a practical use for it.

Summary: brew & go
Comment: This is a terrific product. Anyone who was having problems probably was not following the instructions. I've used it 30 times and each time it's been perfect. Enjoy

Summary: Great product - needs to be taller
Comment: If this was taller you could use most any cup with it. Makes a great cup of coffee or hot water to go.
