One of the brightest nuggets from Disney's golden age, this 1937 film is almost dizzying in its meticulous construction of an enchanted world, with scores of major and minor characters (including fauna and fowl), each with a distinct identity. When you watch Snow White's intricate, graceful movements of fingers, arms, and head all in one shot, it is not the technical brilliance of Disney's artists that leaps out at you, but the very spirit of her engaging, girl-woman character. When the wicked queen's poisoned apple turns from killer green to rose red, the effect of knowing something so beautiful can be so terrible is absolutely elemental, so pure it forces one to surrender to the horror of it. Based on the Grimm fairy tale, Snow White is probably the best family film ever to deal, in mythic terms, with the psychological foundation for growing up. Comment: I never received this item from the seller. I have written them three times and have received no resolution. This was suppose to be a Christmas gift for my daughter and I was unable to give it to her. I am very disappointed in the seller and suggest Amazon stop any business with them.

Comment: I ordered Snow White in plenty of time to get the movie for my grandaughter for Christmas. I didn't receive it in over a week so I emailed the company to ask about it. I received an email from them (Seemybooks) promptly stating that Amazon had given them the wrong zip code and that they had just put it in the mail to me with the right zip code. I waited until Christmas Eve mail to see if the movie would come. When it wasn't in the mail I emailed them back to tell them I hadn't received the movie. Another prompt email came back stating that my AMEX payment had been cancelled and that the movie wouldn't be coming. I was very disappointed. They didn't even apologize.

Comment: The movie was billed as in excellent condition, but it gets stuck at the same point every time and is almost impossible to continue on. We always miss part of the movie when we do finally get it to play again and it takes a lot of time. I definitely wouldn't buy like this again.

Comment: When i received the Snow White DVD in the mail, my daughter wanted to watch it right away. Unfortunately, when we tried to play it in the living room, all we got was a lot of noise from the machine and "Disk Error" on the screen. Needless to say I was not very happy. We tried it in the DVD player in my bedroom and it does work in there although the entire time it plays you can hear the disk inside the machine. Since I dont want to have to let my daughter in my room every time she want to watch Snow White, I will probably be buying another copy and hoping for the best.
